Maternity Services and Child and Family Health Care

Minga Gudjaga

Minga Gudjaga (Mother and Baby) is the child and maternal health program that offers community focused, holistic, continuity of midwifery care. We provide spiritual, cultural, emotional and physical support during pregnancy, labour, birth and up to five years of age.

Minga Gudjaga has a variety of skilled practitioners such as Aboriginal Health Workers, Midwives, Nurses and Child and Family Health Nurses. Our goal is to create holistic wellness, in a culturally safe setting for Aboriginal families on Yuin country. Our outcomes are measured by the women we care for to ensure we are providing quality cultural and clinically safe maternity care.

The Minga Gudjaga program works closely with our internal sista programs such as Dead or Deadly, Nabu, and Case Management. Working collaboratively with these programs, we aim to create a strong foundation of physical health, whilst providing advocacy and support to families requiring intensive family support.
