To Make A Doctor Appointment
Our practice has an appointment booking system for all consultations, we can accommodate walk in consultations with the clinical team, but it is encouraged to make a booked appointment. On arrival you will be triaged by an Aboriginal health worker prior to seeing the Doctor. If you are unable to attend face to face due to symptoms, we have the option of a telehealth appointment.

What Should I Expect At My First Doctor's Appointment?
- You will need to complete a client registration form with your details and complete a transfer of medical records form from your previous Doctor to your new Doctor at Waminda
- You will have triage with an Aboriginal Health Practitioner who will complete general observations such as blood pressure, social and family history and health checks
- You will then see the Doctor who will review your general observations and review results, medication/scripts and health assessment etc.
What Happens Once I Make An Appointment?
- An appointment for a standard consultation will be made with your preferred doctor or the next available doctor, depending on your preference.
- Extended consultations are available on request. If you anticipate that your consultation will be long, please advise the receptionist when making the appointment.
- SMS message reminders for appointment times are sent the morning of your appointment.
What Outreach Clinics Do You Provide?
- Wreck Bay GP Clinic very Tuesday
- Cullunghutti GP clinic every Tuesday at Cullunghutti Building
- Balaang Gunyah GP clinic every Monday
- Yila GP clinic every second Thursday
Where Can Waminda Transports Take Me?
Waminda transport service can only be used for the following:
- Doctor and Clinic appointments at Waminda sites and outreach sites;
- Attend a Chemist/ Pharmacy for the purpose of filling scripts provided by Waminda practitioners;
- Identified programs and/or outreach services at Waminda sites;
- Specialist appointments referred to or supported by Waminda;
- Case Management client appointments supported by Waminda.
