Announcing Waminda’s Chief Executive Leadership Team
A historic changing of hands has taken place on Monday the 1st of July 2024 with Waminda’s official transition to a shared leadership model with Cleone Wellington, Kristine Falzon, Lisa Wellington and Hayley Longbottom completing South Coast Women’s Health and Wellbeing Aboriginal Corporation’s Chief Executive Leadership Team. Our CELT is made up of highly skilled, strong, staunch, and nurturing Community women who have each dedicated just under two decades of service to Waminda and our South Coast Communities. Collectively holding highly valuable scopes of quality practice and a deep passion and drive in supporting Aboriginal women and their families to thrive; our CELT are committed to keep the fire burning and continue walking the path laid before them by their mothers, aunties, and grandmothers.
This exchange can only be truly described as bitter-sweet, as it also calls for the closing chapters of Faye Worner’s incredible 17-year leadership of Waminda as CEO. There is not a longstanding, integral Waminda member who would describe Faye’s legacy of leadership as less than monumental. It is with the greatest sentiment of gratitude and acknowledgment of all that Faye has contributed to Waminda and our communities, that our CELT step into their roles with. Faye will continue her journey within Waminda as she transitions roles but will remain steadfast in her commitment to walking alongside our CELT and Waminda as a whole.
We are deeply proud to move into Waminda’s future with four fierce Aboriginal Women Leaders who have displayed a continued strength and fortitude in their of Leadership of Waminda. We invite you to continue walking along side us as Waminda continues to grow and thrive. Strong Women, Strong Community, Leading the Way.
